Current Context: The 5th India-Japan Act East Forum (AEF) Meeting was recently held in New Delhi.

  • India was represented by Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Foreign Secretary and Japan were represented by Suzuki Satoshi, Ambassador of Japan to India.
  • The meeting was held to review the work of major ongoing projects of the North Eastern Region of India.

  • They also reviewed the work of the projects related to road connectivity, health, bamboo value chain development and forest conservation.
