Current Context: The Madhya Pradesh Government has launched ‘LaunchPad Scheme’.
‘Launch Pad Scheme’ of Madhya Pradesh
  • The scheme is launched for boys and girls who have completed 18 years of age and aims to offer employment opportunities to them in order to make them self-reliant.
  • The scheme is launched by Women and Child Development Department of MP under Child Protection Scheme.
  • Under this scheme, the state government will offer space to the young boys and girls to open coffee shops, stationery shops, photocopying or Xerox shops, computer typing and DTP institutions. 
  • Also, the Women and Child Development Department will offer financial support of Rs 6 lakhs to install the launchpad which will be operated by NGOs.
  • In order to implement the scheme, 52 districts of the state are divided into 5 clusters having headquarters at Indore, Sagar, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Bhopal.
  • Static Part: 
    • Dams in MP: Gandhi Sagar Dam(Chambal River), Tawa Reservoir (Tawa Reservoir), Indira Sagar Dam(Narmada River)
    • Holkar Cricket Stadium is situated in MP.
