- RBI released a circular which defines that the central bank has tightened the norms for investments in NBFCs from 17 Non-FATF nations. The 17 nations marked by FATF under ‘high-risk jurisdictions subjected to a call of action’ and ‘jurisdictions under increased monitoring’ will be imposed with restrictions to perform investments in NBFCs of India. As per the circular from RBI, the investors from non-FATF compliant jurisdictions would hold less than 20% of the voting power in NBFCs.
