  • RBI has cancelled the license of Shivam Sahakari Bank Ltd which is based in Ichalkaranji, Kolhapur city of Maharashtra. The reason behind the cancellation was that the bank was not having adequate capital which was not in compliance with the Section 11(1) and Section 22(3) (d) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. Henceforth, the bank will not be able to perform any banking business.
  • The Competition Commission of India (CCI) approved the acquisition of GIL’s Indo Gulf Fertilisers by Indorama India Private Limited.

  • The Anti-doping reference material was launched by Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju. The reference material will be used for chemical testing in the field of anti-doping.   • Tech Giant Microsoft has launched India Development Centre (IDC) in Noida, Uttar Pradesh to perform advanced engineering and innovations. This is the third centre of Microsoft, the other two IDCs are situated in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
