He laid the foundation stone to set up an integrated check post at Sabroom for the movement of goods and passengers between both nations. The funds allotted for this is Rs 232 crores. He also laid the foundation stone of NH 208 which will connect the Unakoti district headquarters at Kailashahar in the state with the Khowai district headquarters.
