Current Context: Tata Motors has launched a holistic programme called ‘Wheels of Love’.
‘Wheels of Love’ Programme—Tata Motors
  • The programme is launched to support new parents in the workforce environment.
  • The programme supports them in their exciting journey both as a parent and also as an employee through a culture of care, inclusion and sensitization within the organization across levels.
  • Also, a book titled ‘Wheels of Love’ was launched to help the parents to manage the needs of growing family needs while pursuing their career.
  • The aspects of the programme are:
    • Announcement of pregnancy at the workplace, understanding the manager’s dilemma, management of work deliverables, job handover process, maternity leave planning and transition back to work.
    • Mother and Manager guides help to transit through various phases of maternity like becoming a parent and transitioning back to work.
    • Counselling Sessions for new parents, coaching sessions for pregnant/new mothers.
    • Assigning a Buddy to the new mothers to keep in touch with her workplace during the maternity break.
    • Forming a community of new parents to share the learnings and experiences of being parents.
    • Conduction of webinars to guide in various responsibilities like childcare, dual-career couples etc.
