Tourism Ministry signed MoU with Cleartrip, Ease My Trip

Current Context: The Ministry of Tourism signed MoU with Cleartrip and Ease My Trip, both are online travel companies.

• The MoU was signed to boost the hospitality and tourism sector of India.
• The partnership will grant extensive visibility to accommodation units that have self-certified themselves on SAATHI (System for Assessment, Awareness and Training for the Hospitality Industry) on the OTA platform.
• The entities will encourage units to register on NIDHI (National Integrated Database of Hospital Industry) and on SAATHI.
• The units are supposed to register themselves on NIDHI and SAATHI to promote safe and sustainable tourism in the pandemic situation.
