Current Context: The ARMEX -21 is the Indian Army Skiing Expedition.
ARMEX-21
  • It was flagged by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
  • It was held in the mountain ranges of the Himalayan region.
  • The expedition was flagged off on 10th March 2021 at Karakoram Pass in Ladakh.
  • The ARMEX -21 was held to showcase and promote the adventure activity of the Indian Army.
  • In this expedition, the teams travelled through various passes having the height of 5,000-6,500 meters, glaciers, valleys and rivers.
  • The Union Minister also congratulated and commended the teams for handling the expedition with courage, dedication and spirit.
