• The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully flight-tested the New Generation Akash Missile (Akash-NG). The testing operation took place from ITR off the coast of Odisha. The Akash-NG is a surface-to-air missile.

• The Kotak Mahindra Bank signed MoU with the Indian Navy (IN) for salary accounts of serving and retired officials. The bank will grant special salary account benefits to the IN officials like personal accident insurance cover, education benefits to their children, additional girl child benefit, personal loans with attractive rates and zero processing fees and home loans and car loans.
