Current Context: India and Gambia signed an MoU to strengthen their cooperation in personnel administration and governance reforms.

  • Due to this MoU, both the nations will cooperate with each other in the areas like improving performance management system in government, implementation of contributory pension scheme and have e-Recruitment in government.
  • The signing of the MoU announcement was made by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions.
  • To frame a work plan for the proper execution of the MoU, a joint working group meeting will be held soon.
  • The MoU was signed by Sanjay Singh, Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances and Lamin E Singhateh, Charged Affairs on the side of Public Service Commission of Gambia.
