  • ‘GUAREX’: It is India’s first sectoral index in the Agri commodities basket. It was launched by National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX). It is the price based sectoral index that will track the movement in the futures contracts of guar gum refined splits and guar seed. In the index, the weightage of guarseed will be 63% and guar gum refined splits will be 37%.

  • The Government of Punjab has selected SBI General Insurance to offer service to Ayushman Bharat Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana (AB-SSBY). The insurance company will expand the health insurance coverage of the scheme. It will provide health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh under AB-SSBY to around 40 lakh families of the state.

  • The GOI has extended USD 1 million support to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Zimbabwe. The support was extended for affected populations to tackle climate shocks.
