India’s First Drone Forensic Lab

Current Context: India’s first Drone Forensic Lab and Research Center was inaugurated in Kerala.

The Drone Forensic Lab and Research Center belongs to Kerala Police.
It was inaugurated by Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan at the Kerala State Police CyberDome.
The lab and research centre will be a platform for keeping a tracking watch over unauthorized drones.
It will be also a platform to develop drones for the police community. Thus it will be a utility and threat aspects unit for drones.
Drones play a major security role for the country, at times they are also a threat for the country through activities like spying, smuggling and terrorism. So to develop them for security purposes and track them against happening any threat to the country, the Drone Forensic Lab and Research Center will definitely prove beneficial.
