  • The Crater at the Moon’s the South Pole was named after Matthew Henson. He was an African American Arctic Explorer, the 1st person to stand at the very top of the world. The name was given by International Astronomical Union (IAU).
  • As per ICRA, India’s GDP to be at 9% for FY22. Earlier in June 2021, it had projected GDP to be at 8.5% for the same.

  • Summit for Information and Democracy: It was addressed by Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur. He mentioned that there is a need for member nations to address misinformation during infodemic by finding appropriate solutions.
