IIT Delhi setup ‘CoE on Quantum Technologies’

Current Context: The IIT Delhi has set up the ‘Centre of Excellence (CoE) on Quantum Technologies’.

• The CoE will allow me to conduct research work in the Quantum Technologies sector.
• It will promote synergy and coherence among the institute’s operations and assist principal investigators to secure additional funding from the DST and other funding bodies.
• The centre will focus on domains like quantum computing, quantum communication, quantum sensing, and metrology, and quantum materials and devices.
• It will also conduct research work related to quantum processors, cryogenic controllers, semiconductor cubics like CMOS and 2D materials, quantum sensing and measurement, quantum biophotonics, and single-photon detectors.
