J&K and Dubai signed MoU

Current Context: The government of Jammu and Kashmir signed MoU with Dubai.

• The MoU was signed to have real estate development, industrial parks, and super-specialty hospitals.
• Under the MoU, real estate development, industrial parks, IT towers, multi-purpose towers, logistics, medical college, super-specialty hospitals will be set up in the UT.
• The MoU will enable investment from across the globe in the UT.
• Due to the MoU, various entities have shown their interest to make investments in UT’s development projects.
• The package of Rs 28,400 crore as a testimony towards ensured development in the UT was announced.
• The MoU is the first investment agreement by a foreign government in the UT.
