Current Context: The ‘Connect 2021’ which is the flagship event of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is soon to be held.

• It will be held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
• It is basically an international conference and exhibition event to be held in the information & communication technology (ICT) sector.
• Theme of the event is: ‘Building a Sustainable Deep T’ech’N’ology Ecosystem’.
• The CII aims to enhance the state’s GDP to US$ 1,000 billion by 2030 through this event.
• The CM of Tamil Nadu, M K Stalin will inaugurate the ‘Connect 2021’.
• Australia and the United Kingdom are the partner countries for the event.
• The hosting entity is the Government of Tamil Nadu and the co-hosting entity is Software Technology Parks of India and the Union Ministry of Electronics and Telecommunications.
