- Tasnim Mir: She has become the first Indian to win World no 1 in Under-19 (U-19) Girls Singles category in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) Junior rankings. The World No.1 position in Boy’s Singles is shared by Lakshya Sen, Siril Verma, and Aditya Joshi.
- The world’s largest national flag, which is made up of Khadi fabric was displayed on Army Day i.e. 15th Jan 2022. It was displayed at Longewala, along the India – Pakistan Border in Jaisalmer. It is 225 feet long, 150 feet wide, and weighs 1400 kgs. Around 4500 meters of hand-woven, hand-spun, Khadi cotton bunting was used to make the National Flag.
- An online portal called ‘Raksha Pension Shikayat Nivaran Portal’ was launched by Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh. The portal will help to resolve pension-related grievances of ex-servicemen and their dependents as they will be able to lodge complaints or ask queries that will be directly addressed by the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (DESW).
