- Vidya Rath - School on Wheels project was launched on the occasion of the 76th independence day of India by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma along with Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court Justice RM Chhaya at a function held at the premises of Gauhati High Court.
- This project will help in imparting education to economically weak children and help them to empower academically. The project will provide economically weak children access to elementary education for a period of 10 months and then these children will be integrated into the conventional education system.
- Under this project, children will be given free mid-day meals, uniforms, and textbooks. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed gratitude to the Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court RM Chhaya for playing an important role in implementing the project in Assam.
