- The 13th edition of Ex Vajra Prahar begins at the Special forces training school in Bakloh, Himachal Pradesh.
- The drill aims to improve interoperability between the special forces of India and the US. Through this joint annual exercise hosted by India and US, the forces share their best practices and experience in joint mission planning and operational tactics.
- The Indian Army contingent is represented by Special Forces personnel under the aegis of SFTS. The US side was represented by personnel from the 1st Special Forces Group (SFG) and Special Tactics Squadron (STS) of the US Special forces.
- During the next 21 days, both the forces will jointly train, plan and execute a series of special operations, counter-terrorist operations, and airborne operations in the conventional and unconventional scenarios in mountain terrain.
- The 12 edition of the exercise was held in Joint Base Lewis Mcchord, Washington, US in October last year.
