- The previous edition of the exercise was conducted in Vietnam in 2019 and is a major milestone in strengthening bilateral relations between India and Vietnam.
- Ex VINBAX 2022 has a theme of employment and deployment of an Engineer Company and a Medical Team as part of a United Nations contingent for peacekeeping operations.
- Ex VINBAX 2022 will be conducted as a field training exercise that will strengthen mutual confidence, inter-operability, and sharing of best practices between the Indian Army and Vietnam People's Army.
- The Indian side is represented by the 105 Engineer Regiment of the Indian Army. This exercise will also provide an opportunity for troops of both nations to study the social and cultural heritage of each other.
- There will be a 48-hour validation exercise to assess the standards achieved by both the troops while executing technical military operations under similar scenarios in UN missions.
