- The logistical support for the production of plant-based meat products was provided by the Kheda District Administration.
- Plant-based meat products are directly obtained from plants with soybeans, quinoa, legumes, peas, etc. being the main ingredients.
- These products have lesser cholesterol content and are rich in fiber content, which makes them very popular in high-income/developed countries.
- APEDA is a government body responsible for the export of agricultural and processed food products and was established in 1986 with its headquarters in New Delhi. The current Chairperson of APEDA is Dr. M Angamuthu.
