  • Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, opened tourist police stations at 20 significant religious sites and popular tourist destinations throughout the state.
  • The Pradhan Mantri School for Rising India (PM Shri) would be implemented in Maharashtra, according to the state's cabinet, which is chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. 856 schools will be upgraded during the first phase.

  • From February 16 to February 25, 2023, Mumbai will host the "Divya Kala Mela," a special event that will highlight the work of Divyang entrepreneurs and artists from all over the nation.
  • With a budgeted investment of Rs. 22,500 crore until 2026, the central government has authorised Namami Gange Mission-II. It also comprises projects for existing liabilities of Rs. 11,225 crore and new projects/interventions of Rs. 11,275 crore.
  • In Karnataka, the Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD) Plan has designated four pilgrim centres for development.
  • The first Agricultural Representatives Meeting (ADM) of the Agriculture Working Group (AWG) was held in Indore from February 13–15, 2023, under India's leadership of the G20.
  • The Centrally Sponsored Scheme "Vibrant Villages Plan" (VVP) for the Financial Years 2022-23 to 2025-26 with a cash allocation of Rs 4800 Crore was approved by the Union Cabinet on February 15.

  • Unified Payments Interface (UPI) LITE has been introduced by Paytm Payments Banks Limited (PPBL) and is supported by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) for several smallvalue UPI transactions.
  • The Indian Army has received SWARM drones from Bengaluru-based NewSpace Research, making it the first major armed force in the world to operationalize these high-density SWARM drones.
  • In order to assist people in finding solutions to their questions regarding the Aadhaar card, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has introduced a new AI/ML (Artificial intelligence and machine learning)-based Chatbot dubbed "Aadhaar Mitra."
  • As an homage to the courageous women of India and the Indian Navy, the Indian Navy is working with M/s Jeep India in conjunction with the Navy Wives Welfare Association (NWWA) to execute an All Women Vehicle Expedition. The purpose of the demonstration is to encourage women to join the Navy.
  • In order to provide pertinent information at the stock exchanges and depositories in a structured manner, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) introduced the Issue Summary Document (ISD) for filing papers pertaining to IPOs (Initial Public Offers) and for further issuing securities in XBRL format.
  • The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and CME Group, the largest derivatives market in the world, have entered into a data licence deal for the trading of natural gas and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil contracts.
  • Aparna Sureshchandra Kalawate, a researcher with the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI), Western Regional Centre (WRC), Pune, Maharashtra, has found a new species of beetle in the Trogidae family in India that they have named "Omorgus Khandesh."

    • The World Health Organization (WHO) verified the first-ever Marburg illness epidemic in Equatorial Guinea, attributing at least nine of the country's fatalities to the Ebola-related virus. The Marburg virus, like Ebola, is a bat-borne illness that spreads to people by direct contact with infected bodily fluids or objects.
    • Nikki Haley, a former governor of South Carolina and a prominent Indian-American and ambassador to the UN, declared her intention to run for president of the United States. She is now the first Republican to oppose former US President Donald Trump's bid to represent her party as the nominee for the White House in 2024.
    • The United Nations Development Programme's (UNDP) "Don't Choose Extinction" campaign to spread the word about the climate emergency has won Gold and Silver in two distinct categories at the 2nd Annual Anthem Awards.
  • Sports:-
    • On February 14 at Morabadi, Jharkhand, Akshdeep Singh and Priyanka Goswami won the 10th National Open Race Walking Championships 2023. As a result, they are both now eligible to compete in the upcoming World Championships and the Paris Olympics.
  • Awards:-
    • Dr. Mahendra Kumar Mishra, a renowned linguist, will receive the UNESCO International Mother Language Prize in 2023. Motive: To encourage the use of India's native tongue
  • Appointment/Resignation:-
    • At a news conference in Edinburgh, Scotland, Nicola Ferguson Sturgeon declared her resignation as the Scottish National Party's (SNP) leader and First Minister of Scotland.
    • After more than 4 years in office, World Bank President David Malpass (66) stated that he will leave on June 1, 2023 (almost a year earlier than his term). In April 2019, the then-President of the United States (US), Donald Trump, appointed him. In April 2024, his five-year term was set to expire.
