    • Greener trade and investment are crucial for combating climate change in Asia and the Pacific, according to the Asian Economic Integration Report (AEIR) 2023: Trade, Investment, and Climate Change in Asia and the Pacific, published by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in February 2023.

    • The Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023 will hold its debut season in Mumbai (Maharashtra) from March 4 to March 26.
    • The men's national ice hockey championship for the 12th edition, held in Leh, Ladakh, by the Ice Hockey Association of India (IHAI), was won by the central ice hockey squad of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
  • Obituary:
    • Pervez Musharraf, a retired general and former president of Pakistan (2001–2008), died on February 5, 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, at the age of 79. (UAE). Pervez Musharraf was born in Delhi, British India, on August 11, 1943. (now New Delhi, Delhi, India).
  • Appointments:
    • Apsara A Iyer, a second-year law student at Harvard, has been chosen to lead the esteemed Harvard Law Review. In the famous publication's 136-year history, Apsara A Iyer, 29, is the first woman to hold the position.
    • K Satyanarayana Raju has been selected by the Government of India (GoI) as the state-owned Canara Bank's Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately.
    • Myntra, an Indian fashion e-commerce startup established in Bengaluru (Karnataka) and owned by Flipkart, has named Indian Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor as its new Brand Ambassador to promote men's fashion apparel on the platform.

Founder and Chairman of Hurun Global, Rupert Hoogewerf, presented him with the honour at the Hurun India award ceremony in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
