Global Business Environment Rankings

Current Context: According to the latest business environment rankings by Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), Singapore topped the rankings with Vietnam making the most significant improvement.

• India’s rank improved by six spots in this Ranking. India has now entered into the top ten countries for ease of doing business.
• The rankings measure the attractiveness of doing business in 82 countries with 91 crucial indicators.
• North America and Western Europe continue to be the best places in the world to do business.
• Asia ranks third, ahead of Eastern Europe, while Latin America marginally outperforms the Middle East and Africa (MEA)
• Vietnam, Thailand, Belgium, Sweden, India and Cost Rica have shown the biggest improvements over the past year. Vietnam is the overall biggest mover which climbed 12 spots in the rankings.
