Current Context: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the Ayushman Assam Scheme under the Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya (MMJA) in Guwahati on the second anniversary of his government . The scheme will be available in more than 300 hospitals

• The Ayushman Assam Scheme under the Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya (MMJA) provides cashless medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh per family .
• The beneficiary can get treatment in more than 300 empaneled hospitals in Assam as well as in all Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) empaneled hospitals across the country
• To be eligible for the Ayushman Assam Scheme under the Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya (MMJA), applicants must be permanent residents of Assam State and must have an Aadhar Card for registration.
