L&T and US Navy signed a Master Ship Repair Agreement

Current Context: Larsen and Toubro (L&T), an Indian multinational company, has signed a Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) with the US Navy to undertake voyage repairs of Military Sealift Command vessels.

• This agreement is a result of the 2022 US-India 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue and demonstrates the US commitment to utilise repair facilities on a regular basis at the L&T shipyard in Kattupalli.
• This agreement also strengthens the strategic partnership between the two countries and contributes to a free and open Indo-Pacific.
