- The World Health Organization (WHO) released the outcome document of the WHO Traditional Medicine Global Summit 2023 in the form of the “Gujarat Declaration”. - The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced that Chinese Premier Li Qiang will attend the G-20 summit from September 9 to 10 in India. - Obituary:
- Heath Streak, the former Zimbabwe cricket captain, passed away at the age of 49. He had been battling colon and liver cancer for a long time. His wife, Nadine Streak, confirmed his death on social media. Cricketers, both past and present, paid rich tributes to Heath Streak.
- Appointments:
- Uday Kotak resigned as the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kotak Mahindra Bank effective September 1, 2023. Dipak Gupta, who is currently the joint managing director of the bank, will carry out the duties of the CEO subject to approvals from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI)

- DGFT has clarified e-commerce exports also qualify for packing credit loan in foreign currency (PCFC) as per RBI guidelines.Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said banking and financial institutions are encouraged to provide pre-shipment and post-shipment export credit and PCFC to e-commerce exports.
