Ministry of Road Transport and Highways proposed the installation of an inbuilt collision warning system in four vehicles
  • This system is designed to reduce the possibility of collision with pedestrians and cyclists in close proximity.
  • The MOIS is a system that detects and informs the driver of the presence of pedestrians and cyclists in close proximity and, if deemed necessary, based on the manufacturer’s strategy, warns the driver of a potential collision.

  • The draft titled ‘Approval of motor vehicles with regard to the Moving Off Information System for the Detection of Pedestrians and Cyclists’ specifies the automotive industry standard for MOIS and will be notified after public consultation.
