  • On July 7, 2025, MapmyIndia’s Mappls App became the first to integrate India Post’s DIGIPIN system. DIGIPIN generates a 10-character digital address accurate to 3.8m x 3.8m blocks across India. Mappls adds contextual layers like floor numbers and landmarks, solving last-mile delivery challenges.
  • AirAsia Berhad signed a USD 12.25 billion agreement with Airbus on July 7, 2025. The deal includes 50 A321XLR aircraft with options for 20 more. It aims to make AirAsia the world’s first low-cost narrow-body network carrier. Deliveries from 2028 to 2032 will support the target of 150 million passengers by 2030.
  • On July 7, 2025, Andhra Pradesh approved the Amaravati Quantum Valley Declaration in Vijayawada. The initiative aims to attract $1 billion by 2029 and make Amaravati a global quantum tech hub. Key targets include 3 quantum computers by 2027 and 1,000 effective qubits by 2029.
  • On July 1, 2025, Himachal Pradesh became the first Indian state to launch Aadhaar-based face authentication for ration distribution.   • On July 7, 2025, Andhra Pradesh launched the AI-powered Smart Mosquito Surveillance System (SMoSS). The pilot covers 66 sites across six municipal corporations, replacing blind spraying with data-driven action.
  • Trinidad and Tobago became the first Caribbean nation to adopt India’s BHIM-UPI system on July 3–4, 2025. It enables seamless digital transactions via BHIM using Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Agreements were signed on DigiLocker, e-Sign, and Government e-Marketplace (GeM).
  • On July 8, 2025, Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the first Science Centre in Dholpur, Rajasthan, under the PM Vigyan Setu initiative. Developed by DBT, NII, and the National Science Centre, it aims to bridge the gap between science and society. The Centre offers interactive exhibits, STEM modules, and hands-on learning to inspire youth innovation.

  • Asian Development Bank (ADB) launched the Universal Health Coverage Practitioners and Experts Knowledge Exchange and Resources (UHC PEERS) Network on July 8, 2025. It promotes peer learning among Asia-Pacific countries for universal healthcare. Key areas include health financing reforms, service delivery innovations, and private sector integration. It supports the UHC Knowledge Hub in Tokyo for shared insights and policy development.

  • Between June 23 and July 7, 2025, the Indian Navy successfully conducted user trials of the Extended Range Anti-Submarine Rocket (ERASR) from INS Kavaratti. Developed by DRDO labs, ERASR features a twin-rocket motor and Electronic Time Fuze, with a range of up to 8,900 meters. All 17 rockets met trial objectives, confirming combat-readiness under realistic sea conditions.

  • On July 9, 2025, Apple appointed Indian-origin executive Sabih Khan as its new Chief Operating Officer. He succeeds Jeff Williams and will officially assume the role later this month. Khan has led Apple’s global supply chain since 2019, driving sustainability and manufacturing innovation.

  • On July 9, 2025, Kasaragod won the Kerala Fisheries Department’s Excellence Award for achievements under the Popular Fish Farming Project. The winners were Naokari Limestone Mine (UltraTech Cement), Noamundi Iron Ore Mine (Tata Steel), and Kammatharu Mine (Sandur Manganese). They maintained 5-star ratings for five years and passed a rigorous two-stage evaluation by the Indian Bureau of Mines.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Brazil’s highest civilian honour, the Grand Collar of the National Order of the Southern Cross, on July 8, 2025. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva presented the award at Alvorada Palace in Brasília. It celebrates PM Modi’s efforts to deepen India–Brazil relations and global cooperation via BRICS, G20, and UN.

  • On 9 July 2025, veteran socialist leader Charupara Ravi passed away at the age of 77 in Thiruvananthapuram. He was the state vice-president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and a prominent figure in Kerala’s socialist politics.
