National Geoscience Awards (NGA) 2024

Current Context: On 26 Sept 2025, President Droupadi Murmu presented the National Geoscience Awards (NGA) 2024 at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, honouring 20 geoscientists across 12 awards.

• Prof. Shyam Sundar Rai received the Lifetime Achievement Award for contributions to Solid Earth & Geophysics, while Susobhan Neogi (GSI) won the Young Geoscientist Award.
