Current Context: 9 September 2025, New Delhi – Union Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC) Bhupender Yadav conferred the Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan Awards 2025 under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP).

  • Category >10 lakh population – 1st: Indore (Score 200/200; ₹1.5 cr), 2nd: Jabalpur (199; ₹1 cr), 3rd: Agra & Surat (196; ₹25 lakh each).
  • Category 3–10 lakh – 1st: Amravati (200; ₹75 lakh), 2nd: Jhansi & Moradabad (198.5; ₹25 lakh each), 3rd: Alwar (197.6; ₹25 lakh).
  • Category <3 lakh – 1st: Dewas (193; ₹37.5 lakh), 2nd: Parwanoo (191.5; ₹25 lakh), 3rd: Angul (191; ₹12.5 lakh); Indore & Udaipur also received Ramsar Wetland City Accreditation.
