- 22-year-old Ethiopian national, Derrara Hurisa has broken the event record for the full marathon elite category in the 7th edition of the Mumbai marathon. Srinu Bugatha won the Indian Elite Full Marathon in Men's category and Sudha Singh has won the Indian Elite Full Marathon in Women’s category. Ethiopia's Amane Beriso came at the top in the International Elite Full Marathon Women's category.
- The 14th Foundation Day of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL) was celebrated in New Delhi on 18th January 2020 by the Ministry of Railways. Minister of Railways PiyushGoyal congratulated team DFCCIL for completing 500 km of Dedicated Freight Corridor and exhorted to achieve the goal of 991 km by March 2020.
- The Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (IC), Prahlad Singh Patel launched a month long special exhibition titled Indian Heritage in Digital Space and a two day long first international heritage symposium in New Delhi on 15th January 2020. The exhibition was organized in collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
