  • The National Medical Commission (NMC) commenced on 25th Sep 2020. It has replaced the Medical Council of India (MCI) and has become India’s top regulator for medical education and its profession. It is having 33 members namely, a chairman, 10 ex-officio members and 22 part-time members. 
  • The central government has sanctioned 670 electric buses and 241 charging stations under phase II of FAME Scheme. The sanctioned electric buses are from Goa, Maharashtra, Chandigarh ad Gujarat. And the sanctioned charging stations are in Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala and Port Blair. This decision was declared by Union Heavy Industry Minister, Prakash Javadekar.
