  • Youth 20 (Y20) Global Summit: It was hosted virtually by Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The summit was organized to exchange ideas for the empowerment of youth in the Post pandemic period. India was represented by Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Kiren Rijiju. The summit was held with the theme of ‘Government- Youth dialogue on post-COVID-19 opportunities.’ This was the first-ever virtual group of twenty (G20) Y20 global summit.

  • Singapore: It has become the first country to include facial recognition technology in its National Identity Database. For this, a system is introduced with the name ‘SingPass Face Verification’. With the help of this system, various government services can be accessed in an online manner.

  • India successfully conducted a night trial of nuclear-capable Prithvi-2 Missile. The trial was conducted from Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur near Balasore, Off the Odisha Coast. Prithvi -2 is the surface-to-surface strategic missile which is developed by DRDO. 
  • ‘mooPay’: It is the direct payment platform launched for dairy farmers of Rajasthan. It is developed by Stellapps, an incubated dairy-tech startup of IIT Madras. The ‘mooPay’ is basically a payment gateway for dairies to make payments to the registered farmers thus by removing risk and costs of transferring money to the number of farmers. It was launched in Bhilwara district of Rajasthan. 
  • ‘Safe City Project’: It is the women safety campaign which is launched by Anandiben Patel, Governor of Uttar Pradesh. The campaign is launched in Lucknow, UP. It is the 180 day long campaign in which the police department and other departments will promote and work to strengthen the security of women.
