  • The ReNew Power Pvt Ltd. to invest $9 billion in the wind and solar projects to support India’s green push initiative. The organisation will work to reduce emission and adopt environmentally friendly practices.

  • ‘NanoSniffer’: It is the world’s first Microsensor based Explosive Trace Detector which was launched by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. It is developed by IIT Bombay’s startup called NanoSniff Technologies and is marketed by IIT Delhi’s startup named Kritikal Solutions. It has the ability to detect explosives in less than ten seconds.

  • ‘Hamari Sadak’ app and ‘Tameer Taraqqi’ app: These apps were launched by Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha. He also launched JK Public Works-Online Management, Monitoring and Accounting System (JKPW-OMMAS). The apps and online system are developed by the public works department for roads and buildings.
  • The RBI has announced to conduct the open market purchase of government securities worth Rs 1 lakh crore under G-Sec Acquisition Programme (G-SAP 1.0) to have a stable and orderly evolution of the yield curve amidst comfortable liquidity conditions. So, this first purchase of Rs 25000 crore will be held on 15th April 2021.
  • The tripartite MoU was signed among Ladakh’s administration, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh (LAHDC) and Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI Ltd) to set up a 50MW solar power project at Taru district of Leh.
  • The HDFC Bank has acquired a 9.9% stake in Kerala Infrastructure Fund Management Ltd (KIFML).
