The government of Assam has named its 6th national park to be ‘Raimona’, which is located in the Kokrajhar district of the state. Its area is 422 sq. ft and adjoins the westernmost buffer to Manas Tiger Reserve.

Clean Energy and Innovation Summit: It was hosted by Chile. The summit was comprised of the 12th Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM 12) 2021 and the 6th Mission Innovation Ministerial (MI-6) 2021. The summit was held under the theme of ‘Ambition into Action-Turning a Year of Ambition into a Decade of Delivery’.

At the 12th Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM 12) 2021, India and UK jointly launched a new workstream to promote industrial energy efficiency under CEM’s Industrial Deep Decarbonization Initiative which is coordinated by UNIDO (UN Industrial Development Organisation). This will boost green technologies and will thus raise the demand for low-carbon industrial materials.
