- All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Ministry of Ayush, launched a six-week long, Ayurveda Day 2022 program. The theme for Ayurveda Day 2022 is "Har Din Har Ghar Ayurveda". Ayurveda Day is celebrated every year on Dhanvantari Jayanti by the Ministry of AYUSH. This year it will be celebrated on 23 October 2022.
- A model “Early Intervention Centre- Prayas" was inaugurated by Archana Pande, President, Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) at Army Hospital (Research & Referral). It is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the differently-abled children of Armed Forces personnel up to six years of age suffering from autism, sleep and language delay, cerebral palsy, and other similar disabilities.
- The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-Madras) became the first Indian educational institution to join the New York-based IBM Quantum Network. It will help in promoting and advancing quantum computing skills research and development in India.
- The Defence Minister of India, Rajnath Singh, addressed the first Indian Army Logistics Seminar (IALS) in New Delhi. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Army Chief Gen. Manoj Pande, the Indian Air Force Chief VR Chaudhari, and Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar.
- The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B) was ranked as the best business school in India in "FT Masters in Management Ranking 2022". The Switzerland's University of St. Gallen was ranked first in the world.
- Appointments:
- Senior diplomat, Sibi George was appointed India's next ambassador to Japan. The IFS Officer of the 1993 batch will replace Sanjay Kumar Verma.
- Sanjay Khanna was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Country Manager of the American Express Banking Corporation (AEBC).
- Joao Manuel Goncalves Lourenco was reelected as the President of Angola. The Angolan President won the election by receiving 51.17% of the votes.

- Indian squad for the upcoming T-20 World Cup was announced. Team India will be led by Indian opener Rohit Sharma. The T-20 World Cup 2022 is to be played in Australia from October 16.
- Red Bull's Max Verstappen won the Italian Grand Prix 2022 held in Monza, Italy. It was his first Italian Grand Prix. Continuing his majestical form on the track, Verstappen won his fifth consecutive GP Title and eleventh of the season.
