PM Narendra Modi received a copy of the Braille version of the Assamese Dictionary “Hemkosh” from Jayanta Baruah. Hemkosh was the first etymological dictionary in the Assamese language published in 1900.
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully demonstrated a hybrid propulsion system that uses solid fuel and liquid oxidizers. The hybrid motor was tested at the ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC), Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu.

Artist and illustrator N. Jayachandran passed away at the age of 57. He worked for the Malayala Manorama, The Indian Express, Outlook, and Mint.
