  • National News:
    • According to the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), India’s industrial output grew by 3.1% in September 2022 from August’s contraction of 0.7%. The electricity sector showed the maximum leap and rose by 11.6% in September 2022 compared to 0. 9% in September 2021.
    • The 9th Ministerial Meeting of the India-US Economic and Financial Partnership was held in New Delhi. The Indian delegation was led by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and the US delegation was led by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.
    • The document exchange platform, DigiLocker, successfully completed its second level of integration with the Government of India’s Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).
    • Kolkata’s Shlok Mukherjee was announced as the winner of the 2022 Doodle for Google India. It is an annual contest in which this year Google received over 115,000 entries from students in classes 1 to 10 across various cities in India.
    • TRA in its “India’s Most Desired Brands 2022” ranked Reliance Jio as the Strongest Telecom Brand in India. It was followed by Bharti Airtel.
