  • Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister for Communications, Electronics & Information Technology, has opened the AMRPTEX 2023 National Philatelic Exhibition at Delhi's Pragati Maidan.
  • Two new Vande Bharat trains were launched by the prime minister at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. The new and improved Vande Bharat Express will run between Mumbai and Sainagar Shirdi as well as Mumbai and Solapur.

  • The Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav (RSM) was launched at Azad Maidan, Churchgate in Mumbai by Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari.
  • The World Government Summit 2023 will take place in Dubai from February 13–15. "Shaping Future Governments" is the summit's theme. It will bring together leaders in thinking, professionals, and decision-makers from around the world to produce tools, policies, and models that will be crucial in forming future governments.
  • The Rajasthan state government has suggested the Wetland Ex-Situ Conservation Establishment (WESCE) as a zoo. It will be located in the Keoladeo National Park, which is also known as the Bharatpur bird sanctuary and is listed as a World Heritage Site.
  • Six Predator MQ 9A drones will be delivered for each of the three armed forces out of the 18 that the Indian Armed Forces are trying to purchase from the US.
  • India's standing in the International Civil Aviation Organization's (ICAO) Aviation Safety Oversight Ranking has increased, according to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), as the country's aviation security monitoring ranking rose to 55th from 112th.
  • The investment manager for HDFC Mutual Fund (HDFC MF), HDFC Asset Management Company Limited (AMC), introduced three open-ended exchange-traded fund (ETF) schemes, replicating the S&P BSE 500 Index, NIFTY Midcap 150 Index, and NIFTY Smallcap 250 Index, respectively: HDFC S&P BSE 500 ETF, HDFC NIFTY Midcap 150 ETF, and HDFC NIFTY Smallcap 250 ETF.
  • A G20-themed QR Code was introduced by One97 Communications Limited, the business that runs Paytm, a provider of financial services, to commemorate India's presidency of the intergovernmental conference and its pioneering role in mobile payments.
  • Tata's Air India has signed contracts to purchase around 500 new aircraft at a list price of USD 100 billion. Airbus, a French firm, and Boeing, an American company, will each receive a portion of the contract for about 500 aircraft (USA).
  • With current shareholders, Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited (KMBL) has signed into legally binding share purchase agreements to buy all of Sonata Finance Pvt Ltd's equity shares for approximately Rs. 537 crore in cash.
  • The "Parivar Pehchan (Family Identity (ID))"-One Family One ID" portal has been made available by the Uttar Pradesh (UP) government in order to identify families as a unit for the purposes of implementing the "One Family One Job" plan.
  • International Affairs:-
    • Israeli researchers have created a biological sensor-equipped sniffing robot that uses a locust's antennae to detect sickness and enhance security checks.
    • Researchers in Italy have detected and characterised the "Black Galaxy" or "Invisible galaxy" using the Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array.
    • According to Australia's Defence Minister Richard Marles, the government will remove cameras built in China from its offices due to surveillance worries.
  • Sports:-
    • Jean-Eric Vergne, a French professional race car driver, triumphs in Hyderabad's inaugural Formula E race.
    • The host nation, South Africa, and Sri Lanka played in the opening match of the ICC T-20 Women's World Cup on February 10, 2023. This is the first time an African country has hosted the ICC T-20 Women's World Cup competition.
  • Awards and honours:-
    • The FĂ©lix Houphout-Boigny-UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) Peace Prize 2022 was presented to Angela Merkel, a former German Federal Chancellor, at a ceremony held in Yamoussoukro, the Ivory Coast's capital. She was given the award in appreciation of her efforts during her time in office to welcome migrants.

    • Every year on February 13th, World Radio Day is observed to honour radio as a potent medium. World Radio Day was established on February 13 after the day was declared an international holiday by the UNESCO Member States in 2011 and the United Nations General Assembly in 2012. (WRD). The 12th World Radio Day (2023) will have the theme "Radio and Peace."
    • Every year on February 11, people all around the world mark World Unani Day to raise awareness of the provision of healthcare using the Unani system of medicine. Mohammad Ajmal Khan, commonly known as "Hakim Ajmal Khan," was a notable Indian Unani scholar and social reformer. The day also marks the anniversary of his birth. World Unani Day in 2023 will focus on theme "Unani Medicine for Public Health."
  • Appointment:
    • A film producer named Ekta Kapoor and her mother, Shobha Kapoor, have left their leadership roles at ALTBalaji, a division of the OTT (over-the-top) platform Balaji Telefilms Limited. In 2022, the process of retiring officially began. Vivek Koka, who has been appointed ALTBalaji's Chief Business Officer (CBO), will now oversee the online streaming sector.
