• The 40th Indian Scientific Expedition to Antarctica (40 IESA) was flagged off by India from Mormugao Port, Goa. The expedition is having 43 members and chartered ice-class vessel MV Vasiliy Golovnin which will take the team to Antarctica. The National Centre Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR), Ministry of Earth Science is an implementing agency for the Indian Antarctic Program.
