- The NTPC Ltd. will be constructing India’s single-largest solar photovoltaic project at Rann of Kutch region in Khavada, Gujarat. It will have a capacity of 4.75 Gigawatt (Gw). It will be constructed by NTPC’s renewable energy arm, NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC-REL).

- The Union Cabinet headed by PM Narendra Modi announced to increase Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners to 28%. There is an increase of 11% with the existing 17% of the basic pay/pension. The increase in rate will be effective from 1st July 2021. Also, the DA/DR rate for the period between Jan 2020 to June 2021 will remain at 17%.

The test was conducted at the test facility of ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC), Mahendragiri in Tamil Nadu.
- The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in India and the government of Rajasthan entered into a partnership to improve the Targeted Public Distribution System (TDPS) in the state. The partnership will also enhance other parameters like digitisation, data aggregation, performance dashboards for monitoring of the TDPS; these parameters will allow the real-time and long-term solutions to improve the food and nutritional security in the state.
