• The CSIR’s Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (IHBT) commenced cinnamon cultivation in Himachal Pradesh. By doing so, Himachal Pradesh has become 1st state to perform organized cultivation of cinnamon. It is grown commonly in Sri Lanka.
