  • The disengagement process between India and China was completed at Patrolling Point 15 (PP 15) after the 16th round of military talks between the two nations. PP 15 is part of the Gogra-Hot Springs area in Ladakh.
  • Nippon Life India Asset Management Company (AMC) joined hands with the DWS Group to provide portfolio management and investment advisory services to the European-listed Indian Government Bond Exchange Traded Fund (ETF).
  • The Government of India proposed three specific themes for the Republic Day 2023 Parade tableaux. The themes are India@75, International Year of Millets, and Nari Shakti.
  • Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan accused Azerbaijan's soldiers of carrying out large-scale subversive acts which resulted in the killing of 49 Armenian soldiers. The two nations have been in conflict for decades over the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

    • Rajiv Khanna was appointed as the CEO of the Abu Dhabi T-10 League. The 2022 edition of the T-10 league will be played from 23 November 2022 to 04 December 2022 at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
    • The 2004-batch IFS Officer, Prakash Chand was appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the State of Eritrea.
  • Obituary:
    • Kerala's former Forest Minister and Janta Dal (S) politician, Prof. NM Joseph passed away at the age of 79.
    • Former UFC fighter Elias Theodorou passed away at the age of 34. Nicknamed "The Spartan", he was suffering from colon cancer.
    • The legendary French filmmaker, Jean-Luc Godard, passed away at the age of 91. His famous works in cinema include Breathless, Contempt, and Pierrot le Fou.
  • Important Days:
    • In India, every year, the 14th of September is observed as "Hindi Diwas". It is celebrated to preserve and propagate the Hindi language. In 1953, the first Prime Minister of India, Jawahar Lal Nehru, officially declared September 14 as the Hindi Diwas.
  • Sports:
    • SAFF U-17 Championship: India defeated Bangladesh 2-1 to reach the SAFF U-17 Finals. Team India will face Nepal in the finals. The championship is being held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
    • World Wrestling Championships: Birmingham Commonwealth Games gold medalist Vinesh Phogat was knocked down by Mongolia's Khulan Batkhuyag 0-7 at the World Wrestling Championships. Phogat wrestles in a 53-kg category.
