Dalit Bandhu Scheme: It is a Dalit empowerment scheme launched by the CM of Telangana, K Chandrasekhar Rao. It will be launched in Huzurabad on a pilot basis. Under this scheme, financial support will be offered to the Dalit (Scheduled Caste) families.

The Ministry of Defence issued a Request of Proposal (RFP) to construct 6 Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) fitted Submarines i.e. Project 75 India (P-75 India) for the Indian Navy. The total cost of the project is Rs 40,000 crore. The RFP was issued to M/s Mazagaon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) and M/s Larsen & Tubro (L&T); which are shortlisted for the project.
The ‘Liverpool- Maritime Mercantile City’ of the United Kingdom was delisted from the UNESCO World Heritage Sites due to the loss in vote count which was conducted. The voting for delisting was held by UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee Chairman named Tian Xuejun at the 44th World Heritage Committee held in Fuzhou, China.
NEA Scout (Near-Earth Asteroid Scout): It is the name of NASA’s new spacecraft which is one of the several payloads of the Artemis I Program. It will be launched in November 2021 as it has completed the test and is fully tucked inside Space Launch System Rocket.

The Union Cabinet approved a Rs 6,322-crore production linked incentive (PLI) scheme for speciality steel in order to enhance domestic exports and manufacturing of the steel sector. Rs 6,322 crore incentive support will be granted for over five years.
Mirabai Chanu (Indian weightlifter): She won the silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Games in the Women’s 49kg category. The gold medal was won by China’s Zhihui Hou and the bronze medal was won by Indonesia’s Windy Cantika Aisah.
